Performance

I shall later make this section about my SMSF performance which is externally audited usually by around February (for the previous financial year). It will only be updated when the results are more meaningful (i.e. over a longer period than 5 years).

It is the best way to give some indication of my results as this fund has been going for a reasonably long time now and been audited since inception.

SMSF Performance Update

The results are audited up to to June 30th, 2024.

Below has also included the unaudited performance for FY25 of 5.2%.

The since inception returns are therefore 13.5% p.a. over 11 years, after all fees and taxes. I am writing this in July 2025, and this will be the final time I update here on my SMSF. A disappointing FY25 to finish off, but I have been satisfied with the consistent positive numbers every year.

I won’t update after fy26, as the strategy will have some fairly significant changes in the next year or two. With all the changes the government wants to make with superannuation of late, maybe it’s all a moot point as perhaps I may not ever see a cent of this money anyway! I would like to think I have a decade left in me, but maybe Australia will make the preservation age beyond 70 soon the way the economic outlook here looks!
